In the Community of Practice Plastic (CoPP), 20 parties teamed up into the quest of water management and plastics. The participants in the CoPP represent parties involved in collecting, classifying, analyzing and processing plastic waste and monitoring the water systems.
The purpose of the CoPP is to obtain an up-to-date, complete, reliable and comprehensive picture of plastics in the rivers of the Maas-Rhine Delta region by conducting joint research. This research focusses on three themes; monitoring, collecting and processing plastics.
During the Future Flux Festival, we will demonstrate how plastic waste, retrieved from the river, transform from garbage to gems. This will be done by selecting and cleaning the plastic waste, turning it into a filament, feed it into a 3d printer and print jewelry on the spot.
