Nova Electric Racing is the D:DREAM Team of the TU Delft that is involved with the design and production of an electric racing motorcycle every year. The current team consists of almost 20 interdisciplinary and international students and will participate in the Open Electric Superbike Competition in August. This is a new electric racing competition that is combined with major events like the Gamma Racing Days, for extra publicity. This way, Nova Electric Racing hopes to show the world that you don’t have to compromise on the performance of a vehicle by switching to sustainable energy to power it and how cool electric motorcycles are, because they believe this is the future. 4 years ago, they built the very first fully electric racing motorcycle of the Netherlands and this year the 4th generation of this motorcycle will roll out the workshop. This bike will be even faster and more reliable than its predecessors, in order to beat the competition again.
